About Paula T. Nolan
In 2024 Paula was selected as the inaugural NLI/EPA Photographer-in-Residence, running from April 2024 to May 2025. Her project is titled ‘ReViewing Ireland: A Photo Study of Ireland’s Environment 2024-2025. A selection of up to 500 images from this project will enter the National Library of Ireland Photographic Archives in perpetuity.
Paula T. Nolan studied at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and built a career as a graphic designer, specialising in book design. Latterly she became an artist-photographer, exploring personal, environmental and archival themes. She has exhibited widely in Ireland.
In 2024 Paula was selected as National Library of Ireland (NLI) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Photographer-in-Residence for her project, ‘ReViewing Ireland: A Photo Study of Ireland’s Environment’, which went on to win the ESB Creative Sustainability Award in the 2025 Business to Arts Awards. The project is available for the public to view on the NLI website digital archives.
Paula is from Kildare, and lives in Dublin. She is delighted to begin a tour of her project in her native Kildare, and over the course of three days will be in attendance at the exhibition stand to chat with people. www.paulatnolanphotography.com
