DEPARTURES is a free exhibition at the Riverbank Arts Centre which features the work of Kildare Art Collective members.

As Riverbank Arts Centre enters the beginning of a transitional state, this exhibition focuses on preliminal states: thresholds, the act of taking stock, letting go, and recognising what we have outgrown (roles, objects, identities...) and pausing at the edge of change.

Collaborative Installation, Scrapbook

The collaborative element takes the form of clustered wall-mounted boxes, fragments stored or forgotten. Kildare Art Collective members will create small works exploring things left behind; ideas, objects, identities and/or fragments, and place them within these boxes and leave them. Artists are encouraged to use older unfinished or discarded works as a starting point for this work.
